The HCHSE (Hunter College High School Exam) consists of two multiple-choice sections that assess reading comprehension and problem-solving abilities in mathematics, as well as a writing assignment. Students have three hours to complete the Exam.
The Metis HCHSE program aims to:
Synthesize passages and answer comprehension questions
Write a coherent, high-school-level essay using figurative language and following standard English conventions
Display the tutee's mastery of mathematics
Practice test-taking skills to have a better chance of being admitted
