About Us

In Greek mythology, Metis is the titan goddess of wisdom, craftsmanship, learning, and skill. The Metis Project seeks to embody those attributes.

The Metis Project is a free tutoring and enrichment service founded in 2020 by Matthew Tai, a student at Stuyvesant High School in New York City. We are an educational platform that offers a variety of free tutoring services for aspiring students nationally. It is our priority to engage with children in our community and set them on the right path to higher education. We intend to enhance the academic pursuits of our youth, give back to our community, and spread our love for learning.

Our services can function thanks to the combined efforts of experienced students from all over the country.

In 2022, we were recognized by New York State Senator John Liu of Northeast Queens District 11 for our work.
